Mrs. Amy Heisner

I am currently teaching 2nd grade. I have been teaching her for two years and absolutely love it! I never thought about how much I would like my job until I started working here. The staff, students, and families are absolutely amazing! When you need something all you have to do is ask and somebody is willing to help out. I couldn’t ask for a better place to work.
I graduated and earned my certificate from Eastern Michigan University. There I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with three minors: Early Childhood Education, Reading, and Science. I will be working on my Master’s Degree within the next couple of years.

Mrs. Robyn Mallari

Ever since I can remember, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I enjoy interacting with children and watching them grow. Teaching children is the utmost beneficial and personally rewarding profession for me. I have fun every day and enjoy my career path.

I attended Eastern Michigan University and received a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in 2000. I am certified to teach grades K-5 in all subjects, and 6-8 in science. After a few years of teaching I decided to continue my education. I completed my Master’s in the Art of Teaching and Learning degree in 2005.

This will be my sixth year of teaching at Keystone Academy as part of the 2nd grade team. I have continued on with Keystone due to the wonderful staff, parents and students.

Mrs. Carolyn Wood

Teaching is a second career for me. I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Television Production from Ferris State University in 1990. After six years, I found that my office job was just not satisfying enough for me. I went back to school full time and thus, here I am today.
At the close of the 2008-09 school year I will have completed my seventh year of teaching, and I love it. After earning my Teaching Certificate in April of 2001, I began my career with NHA’s Detroit Merit Academy at the start of the 2002-03 school year. The next year I was able to transfer to Keystone Academy, here in Belleville. I love working here and never dreamed I would encounter so much talent in my first years of teaching and I am looking forward to many more wonderful years of teaching.

I earned my certificate from Eastern Michigan University with endorsements in Elementary Education, Science and Art. I am three courses away from my Master's in Reading with a Reading Specialist endorsement.
