Mrs. Stacy Nalepa
I am beginning my second year as a 5th grade teacher at Keystone Academy. I am a graduate of Eastern Michigan University, with a focus on Social Studies and Language Arts. Prior to coming to Keystone, I was a preschool teacher in Ann Arbor. I am very excited to work with the 5th grade students as they become life-long learners.

Mrs. Mindy DeJarnett
I graduated in 2001 from the University of Michigan – Dearborn. I have a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Elementary Education and Math and a minor in Science. I am now working toward completing a Master of Science in Education degree with specialization in Elementary Reading and Math from Walden University. My program will be completed in February 2010.
This will be my ninth year teaching. I feel so lucky to be in a profession that I love! My first teaching job was in Fremont, California, where I taught 2nd grade for four years. My family and I then moved back to Michigan and I began working at Keystone Academy in 2005. This will be my fifth year at Keystone. I taught 1st grade for a year and then was given the opportunity to move into the library. I worked in the library for two years and loved this position. Although I loved working with all of the students in the library, I missed being in the classroom. Last year I taught 5th grade reading and math. I look forward to teaching fifth grade again in the 2009 -2010 school year.

Mr. Jared Capenter
I am thrilled and incredibly grateful to begin my first year of teaching here at Keystone! The entire staff and community have made me feel very welcome as a part of the team. Now here is a little information about me. I graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with minors in mathematics and social studies. I hope to begin working on my master’s degree soon. Prior to starting my career here at Keystone, I worked as a substitute teacher in the Rochester and Lake Orion school districts for two years. I also spent six years at the Boys & Girls Club of Orion/Oxford as a recreational instructor and mentor. I will be working with the entire 5th grade this year as we explore the wonders of the scientific world. I look forward to a year full of fun and success! |
